This type of corset is essential in creating the curvy silhouette, typical of the Victorian era. It creates the small waist/rounded hip profile, and forms the basis for all kinds of Victorian attire across the social strata. All our bodices are cut to fit the silhouette created by a corseted body. Features: *high quality brocaded broche coutil, rare colour * strong double width busk *boned with a mix of flat (back panel) and spring steel bones *back lacing eyelets with washers *waist tape *edges bound in cotton bias tape *interior channels with cotton tape, some double * cotton lace decoration Measurements - the corset closes at bust - 44 (112cm) Waist - 35" ( 89cm) High hip - 45.5" (116cm) Side length ( waist to armpit) - 6.5" (16cm) Would best suit a size 16 -18 (natural waist 38 - 39", bust 45-48", hip 46-48") All our corsets have the standard 2 inches waist reduction built in – the reduction will vary from person to person depending on the lady’s built and body type. Please measure carefully – your actual waist measurement should be at least 2 inches more than the measurement of the corset. The corset can be worn closed competely, or with a gap up to 2inches.
